While showing our solutions at Marmomac 2024, we also ran an in-depth benchmark of the 500-plus companies exhibiting at the fair, looking at one question: how digital is the industry's commercial offer, really?
What we found
Most companies still represent their material with sample photographs: 93% provide sample pictures. But the deeper a buyer goes toward an actual transaction, the thinner the digital support becomes. Only 18% offer online quote requests. Only 15% show online inventory. And only 3% integrate online payments effectively.
A clear opportunity
The pattern is consistent: the industry presents material well but struggles to connect it to a real, current, transactable offer. That gap, between a photograph and your actual stock online, is exactly what Stonify exists to close. From digital catalogues built on real inventory to commerce that sells from what you genuinely hold, the opportunity to bring transparency, efficiency, and trust to the stone supply chain is wide open.
